Ball-Holding Gnomes

After a long lull from doing any spirited driving, we FINALLY did another team cruise. I know we’ve been to Newcomb’s Ranch before, but this visit was an opportunity for the people who couldn’t come last time. Sure, it was my millionth time coming here, but whatever — the sandwiches are good, man :p

This was also a chance for me to practice my creeper shots, like this one I took of Blue.… Read the rest of this now >>

The cleanest AE86 Hachi-Rolla I've seen in a while

A few weeks ago, I spotted this throwback to Takumi’s AE86, parked confidently on the dashboard of a brand new Scion. Dull as it may seem, sighting the Initial D toy conjured two questions about the iconic legend —

What happened to all the clean AE86s that once roamed these streets?… Read the rest of this now >>

Tim and Joe's Subarus

What we all thought would be a blazing hot summer day suddenly turned into a rain event. For someone who enjoys “accidentally” drifting at grip events, I instantly regretted not signing up for this track day with Extreme Speed.

Small Turn Out at Streets of Willow in the Rain

Hmm, go figure…

(Testing was done at Grange Motor Circuit in Apple Valley, CA.)… Read the rest of this now >>

Kyle Ranauro Nissan 180SX Drift/Grip IV Grange Circuit Superwow Factory

Last Saturday was hands-down our best event yet, filled with excellent cars, lots of driving, perfect weather, and good vibes all around. New E-Brake Hardware for Z32 Rear Brake S14

I’d like to introduce you to my freshly-updated e-brake hardware. (Z32 300ZX e-brake mechanism on S14 240SX rear)

The thing with installing new e-brake shoes is that it’s not really an upgrade, and it’s not exactly regular maintenance either. I mean, how often do you hear anyone brag about this? Most likely never (or rarely).… Read the rest of this now >>

Paul Testing the BalutThis year, Paul, Sharif, and I visited the Vietnamese Tet Festival at the OC Fairgrounds. The visit went something like this —

Paul tries Balut.

Welp. I Guess That's ThatWelp. I guess that’s that.

LoL.

Ok, there was some good food. I had this nice koge-bun from Crunchy Bun (or something like that), and the sugar cane juice was nice and tasty.… Read the rest of this now >>
