VW Bus with brand new paint job

So, today I had to take the S14 over to the body shop because the rattling windows were finally starting to really get on my nerves. I guess… that’s what happens when you start doing things like… plugging water leaks in the trunk and fixing the air conditioning. You start to get a little bit more picky about things, like when the doors sound like rattling bird cages whenever you run over a bump in the road.… Read the rest of this now >>

Ferrari F40 of Peace

It’s not too often that I get a chance to surround myself with exotic cars. To be honest, I practically have an ill disinterest in them. A guy like me enjoys cars that are more relatable, and for someone of my meek social status, one could say that these million-dollar symbols of wealth have little for me to identify with.… Read the rest of this now >>

The cleanest AE86 Hachi-Rolla I've seen in a while

A few weeks ago, I spotted this throwback to Takumi’s AE86, parked confidently on the dashboard of a brand new Scion. Dull as it may seem, sighting the Initial D toy conjured two questions about the iconic legend —

What happened to all the clean AE86s that once roamed these streets?… Read the rest of this now >>

Sooooo… here’s why you should make sure your sunroof, windshield, side-window are super clean before you stick a suction-cupped GoPro camera to it. Apparently, even if the suction cup is clean, the mount won’t stick to the car if the target surface isn’t also clean.

Paul Testing the BalutThis year, Paul, Sharif, and I visited the Vietnamese Tet Festival at the OC Fairgrounds. The visit went something like this —

Paul tries Balut.

Welp. I Guess That's ThatWelp. I guess that’s that.

LoL.

Ok, there was some good food. I had this nice koge-bun from Crunchy Bun (or something like that), and the sugar cane juice was nice and tasty.… Read the rest of this now >>

About two weeks ago today (November 30, 2013) was probably one of the best and saddest track days I’ve ever had. I learned a lot like how to properly shift weight in the miata, how to slide on four wheels, and how to properly throttle steer a RWD car. At the end of the day…it took a toll.… Read the rest of this now >>

I wonder when the whole “itasha” thing is going to gain popularity here in California. Here’s Cody’s Civic with Evangelion’s Asuka Langley on the rear quarter window. For $90 for graphics for both windows, I might consider doing something like this to the S14 too 😉

Kinda makes me think… there’s more to enjoying cars than just having one that is fast or handles well.… Read the rest of this now >>

Just one of those days I guess. After a 7-hour visit at Galpin Ford, someone took home a sweet new ride. The day prettymuch went like this …

Hmm the Corolla’s looking pretty bad in a couple of spots, so let’s paint it. But first, Paul does the masking work, one of the most tedious things about the whole painting process.… Read the rest of this now >>
